What you will do
- Research and develop data-science and machine-learning models using health records, clinical trials and other healthcare data.
- Keep developing skills in decision science, analytics, MLOps, research and healthcare or AI ethics, and help colleagues learn them.
- Work with clinicians, product managers and engineers to put models into products and services.
- Explain technical findings and clinical effects to medical, administrative and technical audiences.
- Follow developments in data science, machine learning and public or clinical health, seek applied-research opportunities and mentor junior data scientists.
Requirements
- Have four or more years in data science and machine learning, including independent research and development.
- Bring healthcare experience such as clinical data, operations, patient outcomes, HIPAA compliance or bioinformatics.
- Use Python and at least one cloud provider, preferably Azure.
- Have a relevant qualification in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science or Statistics; an M.Sc is preferred.
- Have delivered governed, privacy-conscious machine-learning products, communicate well across clinical and technical teams, and be based in Rwanda for on-site work.
