What you will do
- Design, deploy and operate AWS EKS, on-premises and bare-metal Kubernetes clusters.
- Own lifecycle, upgrades, topology, RBAC, networking, ingress, storage and workload security.
- Build self-service tooling, Helm charts, operators and reusable manifests.
- Deliver GitOps automation, observability, CI/CD, SLOs, incident response, capacity planning and resilience improvements.
- Investigate and resolve cluster, network and infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Bring at least 5 years of cloud or platform engineering and substantial production Kubernetes experience.
- Have operated scalable, secure container platforms and on-premises or bare-metal Kubernetes.
- Be a strong problem solver and communicator in distributed teams, and be willing to travel in Africa when needed.
