On 14 October 2026, Rwanda’s Ministry of Local Government and the Local Administrative Entities Development Agency held a Kigali-level meeting with government, businesses and civil society about job pathways for participants in the Graduation Programme.
The agency says participants discussed potential work in areas including tailoring, recycling, cleaning and electric vehicle garages. They also identified obstacles such as limited access to equipment, finance, electricity, training and transport.
The agency reports that authorities and districts have identified more than 500 opportunities with the potential to create over 181,577 jobs. This is an estimate of potential, not a count of jobs currently open. The announcement does not provide a recruitment deadline or application form.
For job seekers, the practical next step is to ask the relevant district or programme office about eligibility and any current openings. Confirm the organisation and the application route before sending personal details. Do not pay anyone who promises a guaranteed place.
