Official job portals in Rwanda: government and employer careers links

Public service jobs in Rwanda are on recruitment.mifotra.gov.rw. Here's that link and the other official portals and careers pages, each one opened on 2 November 2026.

Bookmark the employer's own page, not the forwarded picture. Every link here goes straight to a government site or an employer, and each one opened for us on 2 November 2026. That shows the site was up that day, not that it had posts open, so check the closing date on the advert itself. Applying is free, and nobody should pay for a job.

Public service and national portals

Start here for government posts. Each link below opens the site itself.

Government agencies with their own recruitment

These agencies take applications on their own sites, not on the MIFOTRA portal.

Teachers

REB's recruitment address, recruitment.reb.gov.rw, didn't answer when we tried it on 2 November, so we can't give you steps for it. Try it again, and check REB's site for any notice.

Large employers and international organisations

Papers you may need: Irembo

Many employers ask for official papers, so it's worth knowing the times. A criminal record certificate from NPPA, through Irembo, costs RWF 1,200, takes 21 days and is valid for 6 months. An RIB criminal investigation clearance is a different paper, costing RWF 1,200 and taking 3 days. Read the advert to see which one it wants, because 21 days can run past a closing date.

How to keep it all straight

With several portals you'll have several logins and dates, so keep them in one list. Before you send anything, check that the address is the real one. A government site in Rwanda normally ends in gov.rw. If someone sends you a different link, look for the post on the portal yourself. If anyone asks you to pay, stop, and call RIB on 166.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I apply for government jobs in Rwanda?

Public service posts are on the MIFOTRA e-recruitment portal, recruitment.mifotra.gov.rw. Some agencies recruit through their own sites, such as immigration, RRA and the police.

Is workrwanda.net an official government site?

No. We're an independent job site. We link to official portals so you can apply directly with the employer.

Why won't a portal open for me?

Some of these sites are slow or need a script to load, and some are down at times. Try again later, on another browser or connection, and look for the post on the employer's main site.

Do I have to pay to use these portals?

We saw no fee for applying on the pages we could read, and nobody should pay for a job. Official papers have their own stated fees, such as RWF 1,200 for a criminal record certificate on Irembo.
